Classrooms 13 classrooms with approximately 25students per class
Grades - PreK3-6 (Primary through Upper Elementary)
Accreditations American Montessori Society ; Middle States Association Two + adults per classroom Lead Montessori Guide working with either a Co—Guide or Classroom Assistant. paraprofessional
Multiple Assessments Assessment consists of observation of students and student work in multiple settings. Standardized assessments are administered to grades 3-6 for tiering purposes
Inclusion Model classrooms consist of a variety of diverse learners Spanish- English Immersion Pilot Child-Centered & Project-Based Learning Curriculum and pedagogy built around interdisciplinary projects, using active, inquiry-based learning
Emphasis on the Health/Wellness/ Full-time PE teacher and dedicated art room as well as instrumental and vocal music instruction School/Family Collaboration Family Involvement and mutual respect are integral to school community
Multi-Age A three year age span in all classrooms
Multi-Cultural, Anti-Racist, Pro-Practicing Kindness and Anti-Homophobic Culture Understanding of diversity and concern for equity , equality, and fairness are at the core of SSMA philosophy
