Summer Reading

As we come into the summer months, it is important for students to continue to refine their literacy skills and foster a love of reading. Reading builds visualization, thinking and language abilities. Summer reading is also essential to retain information from the previous school year.
It is our goal at Shining Stars Montessori Academy PCS to continue to improve our students’ literacy skills year-round. The summer reading list includes a wide variety of books from different cultures, bilingual books, fiction, and nonfiction.

In the SSMA 2024 Summer Reading List, There are books for each grade level. All of the books are available at the DC Public Library.
